Birthday Celebrations

We are currently camped in a national park just 23klms SW of Winton.   yesterday when we arrived it was my 67th Birthday, and Bob and Heather had prepared a wonderful surprise for me.

Not only did I not do any cooking for dinner, they produced cold champagne, a birthday cake with lit candles to boot.  We are camped beside a lovely swimming hole in the Surprise Creek, with red gums for cover, wildlife abundance and our very own hot shower tent.  Well, I take a bucket of stream water, pour a kettle of warm water in and have a shower in the tent overlooking the waterhole where we all swam today!

It’s a terrible existence, but somebody has to do it! Well, I’ll close for now and prepare a curry for tea. Might make pancakes for sweets if the spirit urges!! Love to you all.  Take care.

By the way, we have not forgotten those of you who are celebrating birthdays this month.  So far Shane 4th, Mick 6th, Matthew 7th, Jill on 12th!  Each day we raise our glass of wine at dinner and toast your day and happiness!
