Left Kieran and Belinda’s after a great night. It was great to catch up with them after all these years. Kynen didn’t stop smiling the whole time we were there.

and then of course it would not be complete without mentioning Bailey the wonder dog. He has almost as many toys as Kynan

Belinda was in her PJ’s when I was taking photo’s so unfortunately there is no photo to publish.

Left about 9:30 in thick fog which persisted for about 3 hours making for slow drivingP7160016

We went through Junee, Cowra, Bathurst over the ranges to Wattle Flats, Sofala, Kundos and then Rylstone about 5:30 which is situated on the edge of the Wollemi National Park. Wattle Flats and Sofala are old gold mining areas and we called into Sofala to have a look around. Some very old buildings beside a creek in a deep valley. Very picturesque.

As you can see some of the buildings are close to 150 years old. This is now a private home being restored.

We are staying the night in the Globe Hotel at Rylstone. Nothing special just an old country pub but comfortable enough. Have had a good meal a couple of drinks and are now off to bed. Tomorrow we go to Armidale.
